On December 16, 2024, the highly anticipated inaugural lecture of the NCMS holds the first lecture of the "Xinmanjing NCMS‘ forum" was grandly launched. Professor Li Xiaogang, a renowned expert in the field of material corrosion and protection in China, and director of the National Materials Corrosion and Protection Science Data Center at USTB, was invited as the keynote speaker. More than 170 faculty members and students, gathered to share in this academic feast. The forum was presided over by Professor Xiaolu Pang, Director of NCMS. Professor Xiaogang Li delivered a lecture titled "The Past and Present of Steel Materials."
